Bo Concept

Anyone using the toolkit and discovering that their style is Contemporary should take a serious look at the iconic Danish furniture store Bo Concept. Of course there are lots of fabulous furniture stores in Glasgow but Bo Concept have particularly exciting news in this city in that they are moving from their long time home in Sauchiehall street, to a much more central, dual location in the Buchanan Galleries and Princes Square. Both brilliant destinations for a whole day of shopping I assure you.

They are promising to continue to offer the latest in simple, modern interior design and accessories. Visit them at either store at any time and you will meet their skilled team of interior designers on arrival who will introduce you to all the possibilities of customising their contemporary modular furniture and help you transform where you live into the home of your dreams.

I know that for my own ‘Coastal Contemporary’ home, simplicity is key, so the low slung Hampton sofa with its stunning ‘studio loft’ look, particularly the model without an armrest, above, is ideal.

The sneaky storage solution tucked into the remaining armrest is ingenious and the upholstery choices are endless of course. There is everything from the softest leathers to the most tactile fabric. I am torn between the ‘Leeds’ fabric, in a delicate dusty rose and the ‘Verona’, a textured chenille in a warm neutral.

Why have I never seen the Gent bed before?

It would transform my hideaway cave-like, bedroom into a lavish sanctuary I could actually show off on Instagram! Seriously stylish with a slightly masculine feel. Not one a bed for a chintzy pink bedroom I would say.

Lift the bed frame and reveal plenty of storage space for extra bedding, thick winter blankets or perhaps even for hiding presents. How incredibly useful. Fitted with a soft and oversized headboard, this bed combines a walnut trim, connecting you to nature, with a luxurious, indulgent look that has ‘sink into me’ written all over it.

The thing I love most about Bo Concept is actually their accessories, their gorgeous range of vases, paintings, interestingly, by Danish artists, cushions and rugs.

The Usaki rug would be perfect in front of the Hampton sofa, underneath our coffee table. I can’t wait to visit.
